With over 100 leaders and delegates from 20 states and 50 cities across India in attendance, the meet provided an important platform to review AMP's achievements, discuss challenges, and chart a course for the future.

Day 1: Review of 2024 and Planning for 2025

The NEM commenced with the recitation of the Qur’an, followed by the introduction of participants. AMP’s National Coordination Team Head, Mr. Farooq Siddiqui, extended a warm welcome to the delegates and expressed his gratitude to the Mumbai Chapter for organizing the meet at such short notice.

Mr. Razak Shaikh, Head of AMP Projects, took the stage next to share a detailed review of AMP’s accomplishments in 2024. While AMP had received significant recognition from the community, Mr. Shaikh emphasized the importance of internal reflection and questioned whether AMP had fully realized its potential in serving the community's needs. He called for a more introspective approach to gauge whether AMP had truly uplifted those in need, underscoring that each member has been chosen by Allah (SWT) to carry out this important task.

AMP's Growth and Strategic Vision

The keynote address by Mr. Aamir Edresy, President of AMP, set the tone for the next two days of deliberations. He expressed pride in AMP’s growth, noting that the organization has gained the trust of the community for its focus on education and empowerment. However, he also highlighted the need for AMP to expand its reach, build a larger membership base, and involve more professionals and volunteers in driving social change.

Mr. Edresy outlined a strategic roadmap to elevate AMP's operations and achieve its mission for the community. The key areas of focus included:

  • Organizational Development: Following the launch during the National Convention in 2024, AMP will continue to build its internal structure to ensure smooth functioning and growth.
  • Membership Expansion: AMP aims to add 5000 new members in 2025. This will be supported by a formal Membership Enhancement Program designed to activate existing members and recruit new ones.
  • Networking and Collaboration: AMP will strengthen its relationships with individuals, organizations, and institutions that share its vision.
  • State & Chapter Empowerment: There will be an emphasis on creating a bottom-up approach, where local chapters and state teams drive initiatives and provide feedback to the central team.
  • Fundraising Initiatives: AMP plans to ramp up fundraising efforts, with a focus on ensuring the financial sustainability of its operations.
  • Employee Engagement: Hiring state employees to focus on local projects and activities will be prioritized, and the performance of individuals and teams will be closely monitored to ensure optimal productivity.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Aamir Edresy emphasized the moral responsibility of every AMP member, reminding them that their work would be evaluated on the Day of Judgement. He urged the delegates to perform their duties with sincerity and commitment, always aiming to make a meaningful impact.

Addressing the Need for Sincerity and Purpose.

A special session by Mr. Kausar Tai, a UK-based positive coach and management consultant, inspired the delegates to align their efforts with sincerity and to always work for the sake of Allah (SWT). His presentation stressed the importance of following the model set by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in personal and professional endeavors. Mr. Tai's session focused on developing a mindset of service, humility, and perseverance.

  • Website Revamp: AMP’s website will be upgraded to serve as a discussion hub, where members can exchange ideas, share resources, and connect.

Employment Assistance Cell (EAC)

Mr. Shahid Haider, Head of the EAC, presented AMP’s strategy to provide 10,000+ job placements in 2025. AMP plans to organize 25 job fairs across the country, utilizing weekends in 39 upcoming months to host job drives in various cities. Special focus will be given to larger states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu, with each state aiming for at least two job fairs annually.

Mr. Edresy stressed the importance of local teams driving these initiatives. He proposed that 20 state capitals conduct one job fair each, while smaller cities should focus on organizing 100+ job drives across the year.

AMP's Women Empowerment Strategy

Ms. Shereen Sultana, State Head of Tamil Nadu, gave an insightful presentation on Women Empowerment initiatives, followed by contributions from Mr. Chand Shaikh, State Head of Rajasthan.

It was resolved that AMP should form a dedicated Women’s Wing to address women-specific issues in the community and ensure a focused approach to empowerment.

IndiaZakat.com and Fundraising

The session on IndiaZakat.com focused on its success in raising Rs. 24 crores through 80,000 donations. The platform’s potential for raising funds for educational causes was emphasized, and it was decided that every AMP chapter should leverage IndiaZakat for local causes. The target is to increase donations and causes raised across the country. Delegates also discussed the idea of using innovative tools, including AI platforms like ChatGPT, to generate content for causes.

AMP National Awards 2024

The event culminated with the much-awaited AMP National Awards for 2024. Recognizing outstanding achievements, state and chapter teams, along with individual leaders, were honored for their contributions to the AMP mission.
