288 Candidates Shortlisted at AMP Kolkata Job Fair

288 candidates selected and shortlisted at Job Fair organised by AMP in Kolkata!

 

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), partnering with Govt. Girls’ General Degree College organized the recently concluded Kolkata Job Fair on 23rd August 2025. 492 candidates registered for the Job Fair, alongside 18 companies offering over 2,800+ job vacancies. 288 candidates were successfully shortlisted and selected.

Mr Shakil Ahmed, IAS Officer and Chief Guest, commented, “The AMP initiative is appreciated which paves open doors of opportunity for freshers from all walks of life. It gave young candidates a fair chance to showcase their skills and connect with potential employers. The overwhelming participation proved how deeply such initiatives are needed and appreciated by the youth of our nation”.

Dr. Syeda Shariqatul Moula Alquadri, Principal, Govt. Girls’ General Degree College, remarked, “Today, the Kolkata Job Fair was organized by AMP in collaboration with Government Girls’ General Degree College. The job fair was open to all aspirants. I am glad to share that 492 students were interviewed during this event, and many of them were successfully selected. I sincerely thank AMP for their efforts in making this program a grand success”.

Mr Shahid Ahmed Khan, State Head, West Bengal, remarked, "The Guest of Honour, Jb. Shakil Ahmed, IAS, spoke to the candidates about jobs in both private and government sector and emphasised on the role of private sectors for providing immediate help to the unemployed youth His mere presence was a moral booster for all attending the Job Fair. My gratitude to the Principal Mohtarma Shariqua Al Qadri and the teaching and non-teaching staff of The Government Girls General Degree College Kolkata for their support and cooperation as a Venue Partner. Words of appreciation for Sukanya Bhadra who counselled the waiting candidate. Last but not the least the credit for managing the whole job fair goes to the women volunteers led by Dr Shabtab Elahi Chapter Head Kolkata for their efforts enthusiasm and dedication. Aakif Zia and Tahmid Hussain alongside the EAC team played a stellar role. Thank you all for being there with us."

Mr Shahid Haider, Head - Employment Assistance Cell (EAC) commented, “We appreciate the support of Govt. Girls’ General Degree College being our partner for the event. As always, our Job Fair sets standards and strives to be better than the previous; the outcome of this event reflects the same. We are excited to build on this momentum and create even more impactful opportunities for the youth of the county and contribute to the growth of the nation.”.
