AMP Membership Rules

MEMBERSHIP
- Any Muslim adult above 18 years old, whether Male or Female, and irrespective of the community or race to which he/she belongs, who is a citizen of the Indian Union, is eligible for membership in the Association, in accordance with the provisions of the Bylaws of the Association provided that he/she:

- A. Pledges, after understanding the Constitution of the Organization, that he/she shall abide by the constitution and in accordance therewith, abide by its discipline.

- B. Pledges to follow the rule of the land and the Constitution of India in all his talks/speech and deeds and in accordance therewith, abide by its discipline.

- AMP shall have categories of Members as defined below.

- Every New member in the organization will join as an Associate Member of the Association.

- Online Membership Approval Procedure for Basic Membership (Associate Members) must be considered as valid and legal for all the membership applications.

- The process for online membership approval will be shared time to time by Managing Committee to AMP Office Administration Team.

- AMP Office Administration Team will review, evaluate and approve the Membership Application and provide the membership number to the applicant.

- AMP Office Administration Team may reject the membership application if deemed unfit after the consultation with the Head of Membership Committee or any office bearer of the Managing Committee.

- Membership Committee, Executive Committee or any Managing Committee Member will keep reviewing the activities and participation of all the associate members. Upon looking at his/her duties and performance to the Association in a befitting manner, Membership Committee, Executive Committee or any Managing Committee Member may recommend his/her name for Active Membership to the Managing Committee.

- Membership Committee, Executive Committee or any Managing Committee Member will keep reviewing the activities and participation of all the Active Members. Upon looking at his/her duties and performance to the Association in a befitting manner, Membership Committee, Executive Committee or any Managing Committee Member may recommend his/her name for Life Membership to the Managing Committee.

- The member must have served AMP as an active member for past three years before Membership Committee, Executive Committee or any Managing Committee Member recommends his/her name for the life membership.

- Managing Committee may or may not accept the Active Membership and Life Membership recommendations by the Membership Committee or Executive Committee.

Associate Member:
- Any Muslim Professional of Indian Origin who, in the final judgment of the Membership Committee or AMP Office Administration Team is in good standing in their communities, who apply for the membership of AMP, accept the Bylaws and the obligations of this membership, and pay the Annual membership fees of Rs.1000/-.
 

Active Member:
- Any Associate Member who in the final judgment of the Executive Committee or Membership Committee, and active in AMP Projects and Activities, accept the Bylaws and the obligations of this membership, and pay the annual membership fee of Rs. 1000/- can be recommended by Executive Committee or Membership Committee to Managing Committee for Active Membership.

Life Members:
- Any Active Member who in the final judgment of the Executive Committee or Membership Committee, and has served AMP as an active member for past three years, accept the Bylaws and the obligations of this membership, and pays one-time membership fee of Rs. 25,000/- can be recommended to Managing Committee for Life Membership.

Patron Members:
- The President based upon the recommendation of the Executive Committee, Membership Committee or any Managing Committee Member may confer Patron Membership upon any person who is influential in society and willing to pay the Patron Membership Fees and help in Association’s growth.

- Annual Patron Membership fee shall be prescribed by Managing Committee time to time.

- Managing Committee may waive off the Patron Membership Fees for selected individuals based on their non-monetary contribution for the Association and standing in the society.

- The Patron Membership shall be applicable for the given Calendar Year. Dues should be calculated as mentioned above.

Volunteer Members:
- Any Muslim of Indian Origin who is not an associate member of association and applies for the Volunteer Membership, willing to contribute in AMP Projects, activities and abides by the aims and objectives of the Association shall be eligible for Volunteer Membership.

- Volunteer Member can join the organization without paying any fees and can participate and volunteer in the projects of the organization after the due process implemented by the concerned teams.

- The Managing Committee may, at its discretion, change membership dues for any category of members anytime.

- Dues are determined by the Membership Committee and informed to members

- For purposes of computing membership dues, the membership year shall be the financial year.

- New members who join AMP during the financial year shall be given membership until the end of the current financial year in case of yearly membership categories.

- The Membership Committee or Executive Committee shall have the power to recommend to The President the termination or suspension of membership of any member at any time on the grounds of unsuitability or for any other valid reason without being obliged to give reasons therefore to anyone except Managing Committee.

- Any recommendation of the Executive Committee in this regard shall be reviewed by the President who shall offer the member so affected an opportunity to make representations before it. The President in consultation with Managing Committee may accept or waive the recommendation made by the Executive Committee or Membership Committee to terminate or suspend the member.

- The President, Any Office Bearers of the Association or Managing Committee may terminate or suspend membership of any member at any time on the grounds of unsuitability or for any other valid reason without being obliged to give reasons therefore to anyone except Managing Committee.

MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES AND OBLIGATIONS:
- All members are required to uphold the basic tenets of Islam, Indian Constitution, Laws of the Land and Bylaws of AMP, observe generally recognized and established Islamic discipline, tradition and manner, and conduct and discharge their duties and obligations to the Association in a befitting manner.

- Voting right shall be limited to Active and Life Members at all levels including Central Elections and City Chapter Elections.

- Associate Members can vote only at Local City Chapter levels including Elections at local Chapters only as described in following categories

- Only Active/Life Members as described above. shall be eligible to hold office as a Chapter Coordinator/Chapter Head.

- In case if in any given Chapter don’t have active member, the Associate Member can take the charge of the office.

- Failure to pay annual dues by June 30 th will render a member ineligible to seek election to any office for that particular year.

- Failure to pay the annual dues by June 30 th of a given year will render a member ineligible to vote in that year’s election.

- In case members default on Membership Dues for 3 consecutive years then the Office Bearers, Membership Committee or any 3 members of the MANAGING COMMITTEE can terminate the Membership.

- Officers of the Association shall not be entitled to any remuneration or compensation from the Association except for reasonable expenses incurred while handling officially assigned duties or responsibilities of the Association.
