AMP held its National Executive Meeting, in Anjuman-i-Islam, Mumbai.

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) held its National Executive Meeting on 12^th Aug’17 at Karimi Library Hall, Anjuman-i-Islam, C.S.T., Mumbai.

As part of our 10^th year Commemoration, AMP has planned reach-out programmes to connect with Important AMP Leaders across India. This meeting was to bring them together on one platform and communicate AMP’s special plans for Expansion and New Chapter Development. This meeting was attended by more than 50 active AMP Members and Leaders from across India.

Mr. Razak Shaikh – Head, AMP Employment Assistance Cell extended a warm welcome to the Participants in his inimitable and enthusiastic manner.

Mr. Syed Nashit, Head-National Co-ordination Team, spoke on ‘Chapter Management and Expansion Plan’ with complete plan of Horizontal and Vertical Growth of the AMP Chapters and How to manage AMP Teams at different level. He mentioned about forming a Chapter Coordination Team in each Chapter by appointing different Project Owners for each Project like - Skill Development Lectures (SDLs), Job Fairs & Job Drives, Employability Training Programmes (ETPs), AMP Zakat Fund (AZF) etc .

Mr. Aamir Edresy, President AMP, in his presidential speech addressed the gathering on AMP’s Journey so far, its Achievements and Future Plans. Mr. Edresy spoke on AMP’s Vision 2025 and requested all Chapters to make their Annual and Long Term Plans to match the Final Plans of the organization.

He discussed about setting up robust Process and Policy Guidelines for everything being done within the organization. The Organization should be groomed to become Process Driven from being Human Driven currently. He emphasised on the need of setting up 5 level Leadership Model to manage the organization and create more leaders within.

Mr. Edresy invited suggestions from members on how to manage growth of AMP, how to increase AMP Team Spirit & Brotherhood  within the mem bers, how to improve Communication between the different teams and Chapters and how to groom new ‘Leaders’ within the organization.

The following important ‘Actionable Points’ were decided during the meeting;

• All India Convention of AMP Members and Associates to be conducted on 16th and 17th December 2017 in Mumbai.
• Reach out meetings to be organized in 10 different cities between September to November’17, including a meeting in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• With start of year 2018, AMP Members and Associates’ meeting will be organized every quarterly in different Zones of the Country to strengthen Zonal level activities and energise AMP Members & Volunteers.
• Encourage participation of females in various AMP Projects & Activities as a member and beneficiary to ensure equal opportunity and gender justice.
• All AMP Chapters to undertake ‘Chapter Strengthening Activities’ as follows and should try to evolve from Level 3 Chapter to Level 1 Chapter in a definite period of time
  • Increase Official Membership
  • Hold Regular Monthly Meetings
  • Annual Plan of AMP Projects & Activities in line with Central Plan
  • Each Chapter to share its plan in helping AMP achieve its Vision 2025
  • Appoint Chapter Coordination Teams in each chapter to manage all projects simultaneously
• Try to setup at least  100 active and 20 Model Chapters across India by the end of 2017
• Launch a ‘National Membership’ Campaign to connect and increase the reach of the organization.
• Launching of Campaign focussed on ‘Economic Development’ of Community.
