On January 28, 2017, the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) organized a successful Job Drive in Kurla West, Mumbai, in collaboration with the Student Alliance. The event attracted over 100 online registrations and featured five corporate representatives offering various job opportunities, from engineering positions to cab drivers. Out of the 65 candidates who attended, 12 received on-the-spot job offers, while an additional 45 were shortlisted for further interviews. The event was well-supported by members of the Student Alliance, who provided guidance to candidates. Corporate representatives praised AMP for creating an inclusive platform that benefits both male and female job seekers. AMP Kurla Coordinator Mrs. Asma Fakih expressed her satisfaction with the event's outcome and the positive impact it had on participants, highlighting AMP's commitment to reducing unemployment and fostering a progressive society.
Association of Muslim Professionals, through its Kurla team and in association with Student Alliance had organized a very successful Job Drive at Kurla West, Mumbai on Saturday 28th January, 2017.
More than 100 candidates had registered online for the Job Drive, which had 5 corporates in attendance, offering various openings ranging from Engineering to Cab Drivers. In all, 65 candidates had attended of which 12 received on the spot offers while another 45 candidates were shortlisted for the next round of interviews.
The candidates were also ably guided by more than five members of Student Alliance who provided ground support wholeheartedly.
The Corporate representatives were very impressed by the entire activity. One of them commented: "I am very surprised to see young professionals sacrificing their weekend for this cause." While another one said, "AMP is providing an excellent platform and an equal opportunity to males as well as females."
Mrs. Asma Fakih, AMP Kurla Coordinator, was quite pleased to be part of the event and was overwhelmed by the response. She was happy by the fact that several candidates walked in with merely their resumes but walked out with a decent job. She offered to help and assist us again in similar events in the future.
Such initiatives by AMP provide an equal platform to all, help eradicate unemployment and pave the way towards a progressive society.
