AMP QUIZITITION: Inter School Quiz competition, Pune

Exuberating, motivating, enlightening, engaging and learning would describe the Quiz Competition by Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP). For the fourth time in a row AMP Pune conducted “Quizitition" – 4^th Inter-school quiz competition at AZAM Campus premises, Pune on Saturday, 21^st Jan which, with the tireless efforts of its volunteers turned out to be hugely successful.

The competition was aimed to developing the knowledge and excellence base among the students through healthy and highly motivating meet. The students of 9^th Std. across Urdu, English and Semi English schools from Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad crammed themselves up with a lot of general knowledge for the quiz.

The crucial idea behind the Inter-school quiz competition was to bring up a platform for schools to compete with their peer-groups, explore their knowledge vis-a-vis their competitors and to inspire and encourage the students to work harder, beat the competition and come out as winners in today's world of cut-throat competition.

The chief guest, Mr. Imtiyaz Mulla (Emeritus Scientist of CSIR, Pune, owns 30+ patent in Material Science) and Mr. Ikram Khan (President, Maharashtra Hockey Association and Vice President of All India Mini Football Association) presided over event.

The event started with introduction of AMP given by Mr. Muhammed Sabir and Mr. Monis Khan and hosted by Mr. Mateen Shaikh. Around 95 students from 19 different schools of the city participated with an unprecedented enthusiasm and excitement. A group of 5 members from every participating school (shortlisted by the school authorities), took part in the test and a team of 2 students from each school was further shortlisted to compete with each other for further rounds.

In the 1^st on-stage round all school performed, and 10 schools were qualified for 2^nd round. The 2^nd round was to choose 5 schools for final round.

In the final round, following teams won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.

Winners were honoured with Trophies, Medals,Gift Vouchers and cach amount of 3000, 2000, and 1000 to winner, 1^st runner-ups and 2^nd runner-ups Prizes were distributed by the guest to all the winners and certificates were distributed to all participants.

Before the announcement of final results, chief guest Mr. Imtiyaz Mulla shared his precious thoughts which are summarised as:

“The Team - AMP has done a wonderful job from the planning till the execution of such a big contest while managing their busy professional lives. I would like to request all the school representatives to provide their encouraging support to Team - AMP when they visit their school to conduct different types of educational activities whilst encourage students to gain knowledge in different domains.” He also motivated the students to be more competitive, have big dreams and look for their career in civil services. Appreciating the level of quiz questions, he found it is helping students develop their interest in various competitive exams.

“Teachers are the backbone of student’s development and play a very important role in deciding student’s bright future”, he quoted thanking the accompanying teacher.

The event reached its end with vote of thanks by Mr. Mateen Shaikh where he mentioned his point of view and stated, “AMP is very much thankful for the kind support received by all the schools, teachers, and students to make the event a grand success. Also would like to thank for the encouraging support from the Azam Campus with all aspects."

With the grand success of AMP’s 4^th quiz competition, we are aimed to conduct more such events with more zeal and zest in near future.”
