This Job Fair was organized in association with HUM (Human Upliftment and Moderation) and Muhammadiya English High School supported by hardcore social service organizations and NGOs of Kalyan.

The social organizations of Kalyan which provided their wholehearted support to this noble endeavor included MPJ (Movement for Peace and Justice), Aspire Group, Manav Samaj Seva Mandal, Adivasi Magasvargiya Alpasankhyak Samaj, BWEW (Bhiwandi Women Education and Welfare Trust), Umang Foundation, Ummat Foundation and others. The Job Fair was funded by various selfless social workers namely Mr. Javed Pathan, Mr. Mahroof Khotal, Adv. Sanjay Aglave and M/s. Trinity Infra.

At the end of the day around 517 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by recruiters while approximately 200 were shortlisted for further evaluation.

Several esteemed guests graced the Job Fair with their presence including Mr. Rajendra Devlekar (Mayor of Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporations) who was pleased with this event. Conveying his best wishes he said, “This is a great work being done by AMP, HUM and their partner organizations. They are providing invaluable service to the society and towards the country. I wish them all the best in all their endeavours.” He further extended his good wishes to all the participants wishing them a good career and a great future ahead.

Mr. Soheb Selia, Organizing Secretary of AMP, said, “The response for this event has been very overwhelming just as it has been during the earlier Job Fairs. More than 1200 people attended the Job fair in the hope of finding the ideal job which would fit their qualifications and personal requirements. It is with immense pleasure we say that true to our call of being the catalyst of change for the better, we could extend our humble services to these job aspirants. It was all possible because of the selfless and meticulous teamwork of members from AMP, HUM and other partner organizations.”

The jobs offered by companies participating in the Job Fair included those from Sales, Finance,  Marketing, Accounting, Back-office and included companies from Banking, Telecom, Finance, BPO’s, International Consultants, Consumer Goods such as HDFC Bank,  Ola Cabs, Adlab Imagica, Hinduja Global Solutions, F.Gheewala Consultants, Reliance Communications, Bajaj Capital and Team Lease Corporation etc.

The recruiters when contacted also conveyed that they were indeed very pleased with the way the event has been organized and conducted and the quality of the candidates whom they interacted with. This Job Fair gave a chance to the candidates to demonstrate their eligibility for vacancies in Sales, Marketing, Back office, Admin and other departments of prestigious firms and get access to different openings at one single location.

Mr. Mizab Bhoje of HUM said the Indian Youth have a lot of potential and are very skilled, however due to the extremely competitive and difficult market scenario, many a times they are not able to connect to the right industry. Such events are therefore needed on a regular basis to give these people a fair platform to demonstrate their skills and prove their potential.

Mr. Razak Shaikh (Head of AMP Employment Assistance Cell) stated that , “It is always a challenge for us as working professionals for organizing such events, at such a scale especially coordinating with Corporate, candidates, promotions and logistics including venue management . We would like to thank AMP Office specially Ms. Rifat Modi for the outstanding support in organizing this Event and the efforts of all AMP volunteers specially Mr. NAvid Shaikh (AMP Kalyan Coordinator) is highly commendable for putting in such committed and hard work, we are also greatly thankful to HUM, Muhammadiya English School and the various partner organizations for providing their sincere and wholehearted support”

Mr. Navid Shaikh (AMP Coordinator for Kalyan) said that “AMP has been offering its services to the community since more than eight years in the field of Education, Career Guidance, Mentorship, Scholarships & Job Assistance and we are looking forward for the increased action in Kalyan and Bhiwandi region after this Job Fair”.
