Employability Training program for Engineering Students in Bangalore
After a very series of successful Skill Development Lectures (SDL) over the last one year and being selected as the Best AMP Chapter, Team AMP Bengaluru kick started “Employability Training program” for Engineering under-graduates.
As a part of this project the Team has adopted an Engineering college, where majority of students are from minority community, and will run this program throughout the year. Target audience are the students of Third year of B-Tech. These lectures will give the students enough time to prepare before they Graduate and be job ready. The various modules include topics ranging from Know Yourself, Aptitude Test Skills, Resume Writing, Grooming and Presentation Skills, Effective Communication Skill, Group Discussion Skills, Technical Interview, HR Interview and Channels of Employment and Career options after Engineering. This is a complete one year program run by expert industry professionals and volunteer members of AMP.
The first "Introductory Session" was help on 13 February 2015 and was attended by students of various streams of engineering and several teaching and non-teaching faculty members. This is the first Employability Training program for Engineering students being run by AMP Bengaluru team. This program will soon be replicated to other colleges within and outside the city to benefit more students.
