AMP National Awards for Social Excellence - 2025
An AMP initiative to honour NGOs & Changemakers!
 

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) has been working for more than a decade and a half in the areas of Education, Employment and Economic empowerment. It’s crowdfunding site IndiaZakat.com has emerged as a leading platform for succour to  the needy. From a humble beginning in 2007, Alhamdulillah, AMP has grown exponentially, and is present today in more than 200 cities of India and as many as 16 Countries globally.

In the past few years, more than 7000 NGOs have connected with AMP through its NGO Connect project and collaborated on various projects like National Talent Search (NTS)- Competition for School & College students’, ACE Hybrid Learning Centres for IIT-JEE & NEET exams, Mega Job Fairs & Job Drives, Employability Training Programmes (ETP), in many cities across the Country. There have been collaborations on many non-AMP projects too successfully. The two day AMP North India NGO Conference, held on 3^rd and 4^th March, 23   at Lucknow was a grand success. More than 300+ NGOs and 100+ noted social workers from all over the country shared their experiences and deliberated on various burning social and economic issues. We plan to organize such conferences in other regions of the country as well.

AMP instituted AMP National Awards for Social Excellence in 2021 looking at the commendable work of NGOs and committed individuals during the Covid pandemic. Since then, these awards are given annually to the selected NGO’s & Individual Changemakers, spread across the Country, for appreciating their outstanding contributions to Social Development and Nation Building.

These awards are given at the National and State Level, considering the work of NGOs and Changemakers in following domains:

1. Education
2. Employment/Livelihoods Assistance
3. Humanitarian Assistance
4. Minority & Human Rights Issues
5. Other domains important for the society

Last year, we received nominations from more than 2000+ NGOs across the Country . 100 National & State level NGOs were awarded with the Best NGO Awards, whereas 100 individuals were awarded with the Changemaker Awards. Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to 5 exceptional individuals.

The Award presentation ceremony was presided by Dr. N. Raja Hussain, Registrar of B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technolog. Mrs. Mariam Habib, Trustee of B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Mr. Motahar Hosain, Chief Executive, Pataka Group, WB, were Chief Guest and Guest of Honor, respectively. Memorable event was hosted by Mr. Farooq Siddiqui, Head - AMP National Coordination Team (NCT).

The 5th edition of  National Awards for Social Excellence 2025  will be announced on Saturdayday, 30th August 2025 . NGO’s working across the Country in any of the above 5 domains mentioned above can be nominated. The applications will be evaluated on the following parameters;

1. How many lives the NGO has been able to transform / change by its project/s.
2. Whether the project/s is one-off / short term or long term kind (like any permanent Education / Scholarship Guidance /Skill Development centres).
3. Whether NGOs has requisite registrations like 12 A, 80G, CSR1 etc.
4. Any recognition by Government or its Departments like Minority Commission etc.
5. Any running project with Government or any Corporate (under CSR funding).
6. Humanitarian Relief work (Cyclone /Floods etc.).
7. Extraordinary Individuals /Changemakers will also be considered for “Special Jury Awards”.

The last date for award nomination will be Sunday, 23rd July 2025.
E-Certificate will be provided to all verified/shortlisted NGOs.
