Being better human being is more
important than getting high positions.
On the second day of the Career
Fest, experts and visionaries guided the students, Vision 2020, making complete
Muslim community educated. Thousands of students left Career Fest filled with
vision and determination.
You become good engineer, great
professor, qualified officer and business leader but the most important is that
you become a good human being. Today,
because of advancement of science and technology, man is finding new horizons
in sky and unearthing new mysteries in the depth of ocean but he is not walking
as a human being on the face of the earth. The tragedy of our society is that
we are discovering new things every moment and knowing things which were
unknown to us but still we are unable to know about ourselves. These thoughts
were expressed by famous scholar and visionary Dr. Sayed Aleem Ashraf Jayesi
(Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hydrabad) at an event titled ‘Vision -
2020 Muslims in India’ at Alma Latifi Hall, Saboo Siddik College of
Engineering, Byculla, Mumbai, where he was addressing the students. Addressing,
teachers, students and parents he said, working for the welfare of society is
the best way to get your Lord’s consent. With reference to Quran, Hadith and
Scholars he said that progress can only be achieved when one posses quality of
patience, humility and piety. We have
forgotten this important lesson of Islam because of which we are neither
progressing nor able to put dawa’h to others effectively. He further said with
reference to prophets, that prophets were made to become shepherds because it
helps to acquire qualities of patience and humility. Goats are week and naïve
and create lots of problems for shepherd; this tests the quality of patience
and endurance of the person.
Maulana Aleem Ashraf further said
that, this program organized by Mr. Amir Idrisi, Farid Khan and their friends
is actually service of mankind and is part of worship and today; there is need
of such programs.
The name, ‘Vision – 2020 Muslims
In India’ was chosen by Mr. Aamir Idrisi with a special consideration. He said
that in order to make the whole community educated in next ten years, all
thinking heads of community must come together and devise plans and strategies.
He further said, former president of Indian, Mr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam has said by
2020 entire population of India would be literate. He also said, In order to
realize vision of Mr. Kalam, ever Indian has to strive and this particular
event has been formulated in accordance with that Mr. Kalam’s vision. Mr Farid
Khan did anchoring for the event.
